As a Bicester Wedding Photographer, sometimes it’s nice to get out of the area, so when Larrissa and Barry approached me back in February to cover their wedding I was excited to shoot at a couple of new venues. Larrissa and Barry’s wedding was held at Lyne Church in Chertsey and their reception at The Royal Berkshire Hotel in Ascot.
I started the day at their home with Larrissa, for the all important bridal preparations, then went on to Lyne church where a lovely ceremony was held. Afterwards everyone mingled outside to congratulate them both, to listen to the sound of the pipes and to shower them with confetti!
With the sun beating down we left the church to head to The Royal Berkshire Hotel in Ascot for refreshments and photographs. The Royal Berkshire Hotel is a beautiful 18th century mansion with manicured gardens and a huge lawn, ideal for garden games. Its a perfect venue for a wedding and Larrissa and Barry’s reception room was beautifully set up. After some heartfelt speeches everyone spilled out onto the lawns to soak in the atmosphere of the setting sun and listen to a surprise visit from a couple of Scottish bagpipers. With everyone’s feet tapping a small Ceilidh came out of no where and guests put on a little dance before people ventured back inside to the dance floor.
I’d like to thank Larrissa and Barry for asking me to document their wedding day. Below are a few of my favourite photographs which I hope will tell the story of their day.
