Last month I had the pleasure of being Emily and Matt’s Witney Wedding Photographer at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Witney. The church is a stunning old building looking across the village green and offers plenty of scope for a wedding photography.
I drove over from Bicester to Charlbury, a lovely Cotswold town in Oxfordshire where Bridal preparations began at Emily’s fathers house. We took full advantage of lovely gardens to get some detail shots before heading off to the church. Toby the Reverend led Emily and Matt through a beautiful ceremony and had a very relaxed approach to photography, which was great as I really wanted to capture every moment. Formal photos were taken outside in the church grounds using the only bit of shade we could find as it was a lovely sunny day. Emily and Matt couldn’t have asked for better weather.
For the first time ever the church catered for the evening reception, which with its high ceilings created a fantastic evening atmosphere. After the first dance the party was in full swing, so with the music playing I left Emily and Matt to enjoy the rest of their wedding day.
Thank you both very much for letting me be part of your special day… here are a few of my favourite images
